Sunday 21st November: U16 v Stratton Youth

This match is what is known as "good for the neutral"; an entertaining game with plenty of goals, but unfortunately Stratton got one more. The match was always very close, with never more than two goals in it. The team performance was the best for a few weeks, with some lovely passing moves at the end of the first half when we came back from 4-2 down to equalise. We briefly took the lead for the first time in the second half, but it was Stratton who had the final say to win 7-6.

Captain's Award: Luke, for an excellent first half performance and some fines saves in the second.
Coaches' Award: Matt J, who was cool and calm in the centre of defence.

Sunday 7th October: U16 v Coleshill Juniors

Although the result was disappointing, it was the way in which we let Coleshill get back into the game and then win it that was more disappointing.

Having gone ahead through Will and then Luke, the team failed to take advantage and play as they have for most of the games so far this season. The timing of training is obviously difficult for many at the moment, but it would good to see everyone attending regularly from next week so that we can work on rebuilding confidence and the team spirit.
