Sunday 9th December: U18 v Cricklade Youth

With only ten players, this was a tough game, but the performance was good with Jonny scoring twice.

Sunday 18th November: U18 v Hungerford Town

The first win of the season arrived after a strong first half display.  Matt R opened the scoring before Matt C scored two in each half, with Hungerford scoring four times in the second half to set up a nervous last few seconds.

Sunday 11th November: U18 v Coleshill

The first half was tight, with Coleshill taking a two-goal lead before Jonny pulled one back. Further goals for Coleshill in the second half, with an excellent strike from Dom R in between, led to a disappointing result.

Sunday 21st October: U18 v Stratton Youth

Although the result was goal-less, this was not a boring game with plenty of goal-mouth action and lots of disallowed goals - some more controversial than others.

Sunday 14th October: U18 v Wootton Bassett Town (Cup)

Cup interest over, it's time to concentrate on the league.  The only consolation from the game was an excellent strike from Jonny.

Sunday 30th September: U18 v Shrivenham & Watchfield

Shrivenham held the narrowest of leads at half time, but three quick second half goals eventually sealed the points for them, in spite of many fine saves from Toby.

Sunday 23th September: U18 v Cricklade Youth

Late goals in each half saw Cricklade take all three points, after the scores had been level at the break, with first half goals from Matt R and Jonny.

Sunday 16th September: U18 v Wootton Bassett Town

A poor start gave Wootton Bassett an early cushion of three goals and they added another before half time.  A change in formation lead to a much improved second half, but we still failed to find the Bassett net.

Sunday 9th September: U18 v FC Abbey Meads

A difficult match to start the season ended in defeat, with Matt R, Jack P and Jonny scoring.

Sunday 9th May: U18 v The Beeches

After numerous attempts, the rain put paid to the final match of the season.  With the result being awarded as a 0-0 draw, the team finished in a very creditable 7th position (out of 12) with seven wins, including some excellent results.

Thursday 26th April: U18 v AFC Newbury

In spite of an even first half, with the scores finishing at 3-3, Newbury proved the stronger in the second half.

Tuesday 24th April: U18 v Rodbourne Cheney Youth

An excellent team display saw a comfortable victory over Rodbourne.  The goals were shared around and there were some excellent passing moves, especially in the second half.

Hungerford proved to be much stronger in the return match, running out comfortable winners, with only a consolation goal from Jonny.

Thursday 19th April: U18 v Wootton Bassett Town B

Wootton Bassett provided another tough physical test, taking a 1-0 lead at half time and adding two second half goals.

Sunday 15th April: U18 v Hungerford Town Juniors

Another good team performance, after going a goal down for the second time in four days. Jonny scored the equaliser with a header before half time, then added a penalty after the break. Mark then added the third from an indirect free kick, before Will scored the fourth. The only blemishes were the two late Hungerford goals, which made for a tense last couple of minutes.

Thursday 12th April: U18 v Lydiard Youth

After conceding an early goal, the team battled well to score two goals through Jonny before half time. With luck on our side in the second half, Jonny sealed the win with his hat trick as the hail pelted down.

A strong defensive display was undone by a fortunate first goal by Wootton Bassett and some lax defending after the second goal went in.

Sunday 18th March: U18 v Stratton Youth

This was a very tight game which stayed goal-less until the second half. Jonny set up the first goal as his header came back off the bar and Matt R's follow up was judged to have crossed the line before coming back into play. A great pass from Oli then set up Will for the second and, although Stratton pulled a goal back, the victory was secure.

Sunday 26th February: U18 v Cricklade Youth

Another dominant display with plenty of chances to score that should have made the last few minutes less nervy. First half goals from Jonny and Matt R gave us the lead, before Cricklade scored in the second half, either side of a goal from Jack P.

Sunday 29th January: U18 v Coleshill Juniors

Another close match was decided by a couple of unfortunate slips. Coleshill took the lead in the first half and added a second soon after the break, but there was then a period of sustained Wanborough pressure with Jack D pulling a goal back. Coleshill then wrapped the match up at the other end.

Sunday 22nd January: U18 v Shrivenham & Watchfield

An excellent team performance resulted in the second win of the season. A penalty from Jonny set the team on the way, before a second was added before the break. Shrivenham then pulled one back before James W scored the third and despite another goal from Shrivenham, the victory was secured.

Sunday 15th January: U18 v FC Chippenham B

A poor first half saw Chippenham take a two-goal lead at half time. However two quick-fire goals from Will and Matt R saw Wanborough come back at the start of the second half. Unfortunately Chippenham then took charge of the game to run out easy winners.
