An excellent all-round team performance enabled us to gain the first points and first clean sheet of the new season. All the players battled well, creating plenty of chances in the wind-assisted first half. There was a slight concern that Dom's goal might not be enough of a lead to take into the second half, playing against both the wind and the slope, but the team defended sternly and could have had one or two more goals before Luke sealed the win.
Captain's Award: Toby, for pulling off some great saves in keeping his second-ever clean sheet.
Coaches' Award: Matt J, who battled for everything in the middle of the park.
